From the Office of Religious Education
“Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”

What is a Catechist?
A Catechist is a devoted individual who dedicates his or her time and talent to teach children the way of the Lord.

*First Communion is the first Sunday of May

Striving to keep Holy the Lord’s Day, we initiated a mass card program for the 2nd grade (first communion). The children of the parish receive a 3 x 5 preprinted folded card. After whatever Mass they attend, they go to the sacristy and get the cards signed.

The Children’s Mass begins the second weekend of CCD. Mass is at 12:00pm. It is a children’s liturgy with a children’s choir. During the Homily, Father invites all the children to sit with him in front of the altar and discuss what was read.

Take & Eat Program

The Take & Eat Program is a diocesan wide organization that is solely for the purpose of feeding the homebound.  To date Our Lady of Fatima parishioners have been providing up to 80 homebound elderly with nourishing meals on the second Sunday of every month since April 2007.

Key organizers Margarida Goncalves and Maria Mateus along with 30 kitchen volunteers and 15 drivers dedicate their time and talent to this program.
